Casework/State Agencies

Senator Augustus and his staff work diligently to provide constituents with a prompt response from agencies.  Constituents are encouraged to contact the office should they require assistance or are experiencing a problem with the state.  Senator Augustus and his staff may be able to help you navigate our system in a number of ways including researching pending cases before state agencies or offering advice about which agency would be best to address your concerns.

Request a Citation/Special Recognition

It is a pleasure for Senator Augustus to acknowledge special events or occasions and to send celebratory citations to district residents. 

You may send your request to our office by postal mail, fax, or email.  In your request, please specify the following:

  • type of greeting you would like (letter, citation, resolution)
  • the date of the event
  • the name and prefix (Mr., Mrs., Ms., etc.) of the recipient
  • the mailing address to which you would like the greeting sent, or if you would like to invite the Senator to present it
  • any specific instructions (i.e. "Please mail flat for framing")

Special Notes:

  • For anniversary requests, please include the names of both spouses and the number of years married.
  • To ensure that you receive your greeting on time, please be sure to submit your request at least three weeks prior to the event being recognized.

State House Tours

For anyone interested in viewing the beauty and history of the Massachusetts State House, State House Tours are conveniently available free of cost. Internship Opportunities

An internship at the Massachusetts State House is a one of a kind experience for any high school or college student.  An internship can also open many doors to career opportunities within and beyond the State House. 

Senator Augustus offers internship opportunities to talented students during either the spring or fall semester or the summer months.  If you are interested in an internship, please forward a letter of inquiry and a resume to Cheri Rolfes in Sen. Augustus’ State House office.
