SEEK 3rd TERM

State Senator Edward M. Augustus Jr. (D-Worcester) today announced his decision not to seek a third term in the Massachusetts Senate. Augustus, who in his second term had been named to Senate President Therese Murray’s leadership team as Chair of the Senate Committee on Bills in the Third Reading, said he decided over the year-end holidays to forgo a reelection campaign in order to pursue other professional interests. Augustus, Rep Announce Award to Council on Aging

Senator Edward M. Augustus, Jr. (D-Worcester) is pleased to announce that the Executive Office of Elder Affairs has awarded councils on aging in 349 cities and towns in Massachusetts formula grants to assist with a specific purpose each municipality’s council applied for. Among those receiving funds was Auburn with $23,504, Grafton with $14,053, Leicester with $10,686, Millbury with $16,705, Upton with $4,576 and Worcester with $195, 351. Read more>
